Frequently asked questions

What is a hammam?

A hammam is essentially a steam room. It takes place in a beautiful and well-kept, specially designed chamber, where the temperature is around 38°C and the humidity is strongly felt in the space.

What is the difference between a hammam and a sauna?

The main difference is that the hammam uses moist heat (steam), while the sauna uses dry heat. In the hammam, the moisture helps deep clean the skin, while the sauna focuses more on sweating and heat.

What are the benefits of hammam?

The main benefits of the hammam include:

• Detoxification of the body through sweat
• Improvement of blood circulation
• Exfoliation and cleansing of the skin
• Relief from muscle pain and tension
• Promotion of relaxation and peace of mind

How often can I have a hammam experience?

The frequency may depend on your personal needs and your level of heat tolerance. For most people, once a week or every two weeks is enough to enjoy the benefits of hammam without straining their body.

Can I have a hammam experience, while suffering from serious health problems?

For your own safety, if you suffer from any health problem, consult your treating physician before booking your appointment.

Can I wear make-up or sun cream during the hammam?

The hammam opens the pores and cleans the skin deeply. So, to allow the procedure to be completed properly, be sure to remove any cosmetic products from your face or body before the visit.

Should I worry about hygiene in the hammam area?

The cleanliness of the area is the most important part, to us, regarding our premises, in order for you to be safe, during the hammam process. Keep in mind that all the pores on your skin are open, so a poorly cleaned bathroom poses risks to your health. In our premises, you don't have to worry about this, as disinfection is our priority.
